1. Installation position

The balance valve can be installed on the water supply line or on the return line (only one in each loop). For the primary loop side of the thermal power station, it is recommended to install the balance valve on the return water pipeline with lower water temperature in order to facilitate the balance debugging. The water pump should be installed in front of the main pipe (downstream) to prevent cavitation of the water pump after the main pipe is installed.

2. Try to install on straight pipe section

Since the balance valve has the function of flow measurement, in order to make the water flow stable before and after the valve and ensure the measurement accuracy, the balance valve should be installed at the straight pipe section as far as possible when conditions permit.

3. Pay attention to the balance between the new system and the original system

When the new system with balance valve is connected to the original heating (cooling) pipe network, attention must be paid to the water distribution balance between the new system and the original system, so as to avoid that the water resistance of the new system (or the modified system) with the balance valve is higher than that of the original system, and the water flow can not reach the required flow rate. (a) In order to connect the new system to the end of the original system; (b) to connect the new system to the middle of the original system, a balance valve should be added at the inlet of the original system.

4. The opening of balance valve should not be changed at will

After the pipe network system is installed and the test conditions are met, the special intelligent instrument is used to debug and set all balance valves, and the opening of each valve is locked, so that the pipe network can realize the balance of hydraulic conditions. During the normal operation of the pipe network system, the opening of the balance valve should not be changed at will, especially the opening locking device.

5. When the system adds (or cancels) the loop, it should be adjusted again

When adding (or canceling) the loop in the pipe network system, in addition to adding (or closing) the corresponding balance valve, in principle, all the new balance valve and the balance valve in the original system loop should be re adjusted (the balance valve of the branch pipe in the original loop does not need to be readjusted). 6.
