Threaded connection
This is a simple connection method, which is often used for small valves. There are two situations
1. Direct sealing: internal and external threads play a direct role in sealing. In order to ensure that the joint does not leak, it is often filled with lead oil, thread hemp and polytetrafluoroethylene raw material belt; among them, polytetrafluoroethylene raw material belt is widely used; this material has good corrosion resistance, good sealing effect, and is convenient for use and preservation. When disassembling, it can be completely removed because it is a layer of non viscous film, which is much better than lead oil and thread hemp.
2. Indirect sealing: the force of thread tightening is transmitted to the gasket between two planes, so that the gasket plays a sealing role.
According to the moving direction of the closing part relative to the valve seat, the valve can be divided into:
1. Truncated gate shape: the closing part moves along the center of the valve seat; for example, a globe valve
2. Plug and ball: the closing part is a plunger or ball, rotating around its center line; such as plug valve, ball valve
3. Gate shape: the closing member moves along the center of the vertical valve seat, such as gate valve, gate, etc
4. Swing shape: the closing part rotates around the shaft outside the valve seat, such as swing check valve, etc
5. Butterfly: the disc of the closing part rotates around the axis in the valve seat, such as butterfly valve, butterfly check valve, etc
6. Slide valve: the closing part slides in the direction perpendicular to the channel. It's slippery
According to connection method
1. Thread connection valve: the valve body has internal thread or external thread, connecting with pipe thread
2. Flange connection valve: valve body with flange, and pipe flange connection.
3. Welding connection valve: the valve body has welding groove, which is connected with pipeline by welding.
4. Clamp connection valve: the valve body has a clamp mouth, which is connected with the pipe clamp.
5. Ferrule connection valve: it is connected with pipeline by ferrule.
6. Clamp connection valve: directly clamp the valve and two pipe ends together with bolts.
Installation requirements
1. Before installing the valve, carefully check whether the model and specification of the valve are consistent with the design;
2. Check whether the valve can be used under the required conditions according to the valve model and factory instruction;
3. When lifting the valve, the rope should be tied at the flange connection between the valve body and the valve cover, and should not be tied to the hand wheel or the valve stem, so as to avoid damaging the valve stem and the hand wheel;
4. When the valve is installed on the horizontal pipeline, the valve stem shall be vertical upward, and downward installation of the valve stem is not allowed;
5. When installing the valve, it is not allowed to use the forced connection mode of pulling hard to avoid damage due to uneven stress;
6. The rising stem gate valve should not be installed in the underground wet place to avoid the corrosion of the valve rod.
