Regarding the pressure range and pressure difference of gas filters
date:2025-10-05 09:22
The pressure range of a gas filter is generally its working pressure ≤ pressure limit, with no limit on low pressure. The actual working pressure must be lower than the pressure limit, and the accuracy is ensured by the filter element, regardless of the inlet pressure range. The pressure difference of the filter is determined by the pressure loss through the filter, and has no direct relationship with the pressure range. The working pressure and flow rate have no relationship with the pressure difference, while the pressure difference is related to the flow rate. The higher the flow rate, the greater the pressure loss.
Is the pressure difference a value set by the filter itself or determined by the entire system?
The pressure loss of a clean filter element is determined by its structure, while the pressure loss of an unclean filter element depends on its clogging condition. The more severe the clogging, the greater the pressure loss under the same operating conditions. If the pressure loss exceeds a certain value, the filter element will be crushed, and the entire pipeline flow will be interrupted!
